Issued on 4 April 2009 in a series 'World Heritage'.  The Plantin-Moretus house.     (Belgium)

On 1 July 1942 Belgium had issued a stamp showing Christophe Plantin.

On 31 May 1944 Belgium issued  a stamp showing Jan Moretus-Plantin. Son-in-law of Christophe Plantin.


Post number 3 of this thread features Georgi Dimitrov in a stamp issued on 19 March 1962.  He also appears on a stamp issued on 9 May 1972 on the 90th anniversary of his birth.    (Bulgaria)

On a humorous note
Issued on 2 November 1989  (Antigua and Barbuda)

Interestingly this stamp also shows a stamp issued on 25 February 1959 celebrating a decade of Postal Activities in Israel which shows, in the background, a printer at a stamp printing press.

Issued on 26 March 1997 to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the first printing press in Armenia     (Armenia)


Issued on 25 September 1939 to commemorate 300 years of printing in Colonial America   (U.S.A.)


Issued on 1 September 1943 in London by the Polish Government in Exile, this stamp (and other values in the set) were used on Polish ships and by armed forces who continued to fight after Poland fell to Germany and Russia. It was withdrawn on 11 July 1945.   (Polish Government in Exile)
