Machine has a shudder on stopping

Any ideas?

Probably needs the clutch adjusting or the leather clutch pads replacing

Thanks to you both, certainly have the book, just need to read more.

Pity there is not a troubleshooting section, guess in the day all were properly trained mechanics.

Nothing worse than an operator being a wannabe mechanic.   :)
