Printle: A Printing Word Game from Metal Type

Russellaf

Hello. I know announcements from publishers are often frowned upon, but this one comes from a nonprofit that just wants to inform the Metal Type community about a new book whose subject matter intersects with many discussions on the forum. The book is "Palatino: The Natural History of a Typeface" by Robert Bringhurst and it includes never-before-seen sketches and drawings from Hermann Zapf's studio, the Zapf Archive, the Stempel Foundry, the Linotype archive. Portions of the book will be letterpress printed from handset foundry type and Linotype metal. Each copy includes two additional specimens printed letterpress by Richard Seibert. The prospectus is available for view here: http://bit.ly/1Wfi72h

The book is available now from the Book Club of California: http://www.bccbooks.org/store/products/forthcoming-palatino-the-natural-history-of-a-typeface-3/
For orders outside the U.S. please contact: Lesya Westerman (lesya@bccbooks.org).

Thank you.
