A nice clean readable copy of this to download is much appreciated. Does anyonehave a copy of the parts list for the machine that could be posted up here in pdf format too?

Black Model or Grey Model ??

There are some differences - some subtle - some not so !!

Mine is in storage at present while I'm rebuilding, and pretty hard to access, but I think it's the grey version, so a parts list for that one would be particularly useful. However, I also know a couple of owners whose machines are black, so both versions would be really useful.

Seeing the pictures of the Thompson-British Automatic Platen brought back a touch of nostalia for me. In the early early 1960's when I was a Ships Printer for Cunard we had a Thompson and a hand fed Chandler-Price on every ship that had a Print shop onboard, I found it a very easy machine to operate and quite versatile regarding the stock that it could handle. All of them were painted grey but of various ages.
